The world is a puzzle that can be solved, but you have to work at it. It’s a grind. Talking the things that annoy, amuse, confuse, and bedazzle you through is part of the alchemy that spins your lead into gold. This is us trying to do that. Except, at the end of the day, that’s all bullshit. And you can’t just hope that it will work out. You have to push and push and push, except when you don’t. And that’s when you have to just shrug it off and believe that it will probably be ok. en-us © 2026 Pretty Good Content, LLC episodic A podcast about living intentionally It Will Probably Be OK This is a funny, sweet, sad storytelling podcast where a genius, a storyteller, and a buffoon attempt to reconcile their tastes and aspirations with the fact that, for now, and for reasons, they live as they do. We didn't want to record a podcast about the Election. But on Nov. 5, we did anyway. Well, some of us did. And it didn't work out great.

There were problems.

  1. There was no way to know how this one would age, but we knew it would age quickly.
  2. There was no way to know how we would feel about it later, but we knew we would feel differently.
  3. There was no way to know that Gabe's track would be recorded by the onboard microphone in the world's cheapest webcam and therefore, make the discussion section completely unlistenable.

Portions of Gabe's side of the conversation section of this episode were re-performed in order to make them listenable.

It's an unusal episode, but at least it's short.

Spoiler: Curfews create crime.

Heads up: I know swearing is not unusual for this show. But this one seems to have an extraordinary amount of swears. Just FYI. Lots of appropriately wielded grown-up language in this episode.*

In this episode of It Will Probably Be OK, we put aside our lingering anxiety about that darn pandy and spend some quality time instead worrying about police brutality, white supremacy, and what you should do when someone orders you to go home. Let’s talk about Curfews. Do they Work? Are they simply an escalation of the police state? And what impact do they have on crime reduction?

Mini Topics

  • Nick observes that in a 20-year-long mirror, the tradition of wearing a date’s underwear on the outside of their suit coat seems surprisingly weird.
  • Nkenge wants to talk about egg nog -- specifically how well egg nog holds it’s liquor.

From there, we forget to come home before dark. And oh, boy. It does get dark.

Let’s talk about Curfews.

With the pandemic rearing and the US teetering on fascism, how has that changed how you seek to entertain yourselves? What are you doing now that you weren't doing before the pandy? What were you doing before the pandy that you can no longer stomach now? This is somehow more than a recommendation show. It's also a reckoning of the things that no longer bring us joy with the things we're not ready to throw out. Eat Shit, Marie Kondo.

Join three friends as they make recommendations for books, music, film, television, social media, hobbies that can help our listeners make a great escape from real life.

What is the future of our world post-pandemic? How will our thoughts and prayers manifest in a world that has completely solved the Covid-19? Will it be as embarrassing to be still fighting Covid-19 in 2022 as it was to run Windows 98 in 2010? Never name your product with the year it was created, folks. It’s automatically dated.

Right now, it seems hard to believe, but someday, this pandemic will end. What does a post-pandemic world look like? On this episode of It Will Probably Be OK, we take a look at four aspects of society, and we are going to forecast how things might change in these areas after the pandemic is over, whenever that may be.

But before we jump in, we must acknowledge that health experts say we are in for a very dark winter. Here in Wisconsin, we are currently the national epicenter of Covid-19. We are seeing record case numbers on an almost daily basis and will soon see the opening of a large field hospital on our state fairgrounds. While today, we think about the world post-pandemic, we are not there yet. Wash your hands, keep a safe distance, and avoid unnecessary outings.

Lives. Matter. 31:11 true This episode was recorded on June 2, 2020 and on September 1, 2020.

Just after Memorial Day, we were watching people all over the world standing up in response to the murder of George Floyd by the Minneapolis Police Department by declaring, once again, for everyone to hear: Black. Lives. Matter.

We didn't know if we could do a show on that topic. We didn't know if we could have a conversation about something so incredibly fraught with potential to alienate, hurt, and put a potential wedge between the genouis, the storyteller and the baffoon whose conversations drive this podcast.

So we agreed, to just talk. Record some thoughts.

And then, as people started to forget, and the protests, although they continued, were loosing media coverage and helping all the streights to forget that the United States is awash in systemic white supremicy and racist policies, a kenosha police officer fired seven shots into the back of Jacob Blake.

And so we thought it would make sense to release our formative thoughts on the topic, recorded back when we were a baby podcast, just getting our feet wet and trying to feel our way out.

A storyteller, a genius, and a buffoon consider the one thing everybody who has ever lived or will ever live will face one day: Death

Nkenge organizes a frank and thoughtful discussion on the nature of grief, grieving, and death. Gabe and Nick talk about their experiences with grief and loss; there is a surprising amount of levity for such a topic. Don't skip this one, folks. It's magic.

Mini-Topics:

  • Nick: Which email Nick gives you says a lot about your relationship with him.
  • Gabe: Jefferson County is full of Rat Lickers.
  • Nkenge: What to do then about the scourge of spam texts? What do they want from us?

Gabe goes on a very long walk to make to some pretty simple connections between the nature of truth and the trust we have in it. But, boy-houdy, it's not the destination that matters, it's how you get there. Join us as we learn about the celocanth, the half-life of truth, and non-neutonian states of being. There is also some dentist-bashing.

Mini Topics

  • Nick wants you to stop and apreciate the humble O'possom, bald-tailed, snarl-toothed eater of ticks.
  • Nkenge needs some help clearing out her inbox. Gabe suggests bankrupsy.
  • Gabe sent a letter to the local health department.

Meanwhile:
Nick thinks you should consider the parasitic nature of your relationship with Amazon.
Gabe wants you to know that there is such a thing as a magic racoon that has shapeshifting powers centered in its giant balls
Nkenge is tricked into buying a $9 can of beer, and Gabe and Nick pretend that they've never spent as much, but admit they have, and probably more.

All this, and more.
